After living in major cities like Atlanta, San Diego and New York, they have come to appreciate easy Lowcountry living, where warm breezes, sandy beaches and friendly neighbors have replaced congested highways, endless skyscrapers and constant noise.

For Charlotte, a Charleston native, nothing can compare to life in the Lowcountry. And now Adam, who grew up in New Jersey, is also happy to call Charleston home. “We love the area, the people, and the relaxed way of life,” says Adam. “I’ve lived and worked in several great cities, but Charleston has something the others don’t. It’s hard to describe—it’s like a feeling that there’s really nowhere else to be.”

The Beginning of a Partnership

Charlotte met husband Adam when they both lived in San Diego. She was building a career in real estate, and Adam moved to the area to work in sports marketing for the San Diego Chargers. He later worked for a sports marketing firm, managing a program for the National Hockey League and directing celebrity golf tournaments. It was at one of his golf tournaments that he met Charlotte, who was volunteering for the event. They hit it off immediately.

Adam’s career would take them to Atlanta and then the outskirts of New York, and Charlotte continued her real estate work in both places. They enjoyed big city life, but Charleston was always in the back of their minds. “We always felt that we would settle down here. It was just a matter of when,” says Adam. Finally, after one too many harsh northern winters, the time felt right.

The Perfect Combination

Coupled with their decision to settle in Charleston came another big move impacting both of their careers. Charlotte and Adam decided to combine their individual talents and years of experience in real estate and marketing to form their own real estate team. With Charlotte’s tireless enthusiasm, boundless energy and attention to detail, and Adam’s positive attitude, strong work ethic and professionalism, it proved to be the perfect combination.

Charlotte and Adam have found that their appreciation for everything Charleston has to offer drives them to help others make the most of the Lowcountry lifestyle. Their enthusiasm is infectious—clients new to the area learn to love it quickly. Those who have been here awhile are reminded why they’ve stayed.

“When you are passionate about where you live and what you do, and you are able to channel that passion into helping others, nothing could be more rewarding,” says Charlotte.

Whether it's spending time with their two golden retrievers, Charlie and Riley, relaxing at their family's place on Wadmalaw Island, or working at their careers in real estate Charlotte and Adam never lose sight of what's important in life.

"What we love about life in Charleston are the little things...spending days on the beach, boating, being outdoors, and just spending time with friends and family," Charlotte says.  "A lot of cities are so fast-paced that you almost forget about those kinds of things, or you're too busy to enjoy them.  We try to keep things in perspective."

This practical point of view helps Charlotte and Adam in achieving the goals of their clients.  "We know what's important to us, and when we meet with a client, our first task is to find out what their priorities are," explains Adam.  "We make sure we work to meet their needs in every way."
